At Parramatta Dental Studio we are fortunate to have Dr Andrew Ip sharing his keen interest and expertise on Digital Dentistry, design and 3D printing with the patients and staff. With this technology, we can offer same day dental treatment options that we have previously not been able to. Examples include same day resin crowns, inlays, onlays and veneers. With some planning and time, it is also possible to use the 3D printing technology to create study models for bleaching trays, clear aligners and mouthguards. Dr Andrew Ip has also constructed dental implant temporary crowns, temporary resin crowns and bridges, dental implant surgical guides, occlusal splints and even temporary dentures. This means, for those patients whose dental treatment needs involve front teeth, a more immediate and faster option is available to temporarily replace any missing teeth. ** Please note: even though appointments can be made in advance, not all clinical situations are able to be treated on the same day, complex treatment plans or tooth requirements will require multiple appointments to complete treatment as well as review appointments. If a same day appointment has been planned, please allow a minimum of 3 hours of dental chair time.

WHAT’S INVOLVED? Scans of your mouth are completed using an intra-oral scanner. This captures your teeth, gums and tooth-to-tooth relationship or what we term as “your bite record”. Once the information is collected, Dr Andrew Ip will use specialised software to design your prosthesis or restoration (crowns, inlays, onlays, etc), plan your dental implant surgery and crown, or plan your in-house clear aligner treatment.

For comprehensive, cosmetic or orthodontic treatment, we can also provide mock ups and a digital smile plan so you can visualise . This is also great for patient education and information. As with all major and comprehensive dental treatment needs, it is always best to seek a second opinion prior to your final decision making.
